Although PTR
is first and foremost a developer and fabricator of high
performance engines it has been in the "U.I.M World
F1"
and U.S.A. CHAMP circuits that they have chosen to showcase
their high performance engines. As Alex is
fond of saying "if you can make it there you can
make it anywhere. That is not to say that we have forsaken the
other high performance areas". Says Alex "we have been supplying
a drag team in the The U.S. as well as numerous Poker Run
teams including one of the top north American Poker run boats.
I feel that the same technology as developed at the F1 level
most certainly has application at the drag and Poker run level.
Plus this gives us the added advantage of capturing more test
and race data providing a win win for all."
As Alex says " One thing that we at PTR pride ourselves on is
that we are a unique company in that we foster the same close
relationships with all our clients as we do with the F1 teams.
Meaning that Tony and I are always available to help the owner
with performance questions."
So if you are cruising along in your performance boat and a
sleek boat with 1,2 or 3 outboard motors blows your windscreen off, it's probably a
team of Hledin motors with both attitude and pedigree, an unbeatable
combination.
